Layers of the Earth's atmosphere - mat 1m x 7m
- A long, 7-metre-long mat depicting the layers of the atmosphere in the right proportions. 1 cm=1 km
- 5 different shades of blue, airy material symbolize: troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere and exosphere.
- Design: Ewa Legierska-Tur
- A great help for introducing children to this amazing space around our planet that makes life possible on Earth.
- On the mat we can arrange exhibits marking what is in which layer (e.g. clouds, silver clouds, aurora borealis, rainbow, airplanes, meteors .... etc.)
- What is the atmospheric pressure and temperature in the different layers? What is the Karman line or what is the chemical composition in the different layers of the atmosphere? What's the deal with the ozonosphere and ionosphere? Fascinating!
- This can be a good motivator to ask yourself difficult questions and look for answers to them :)
Unfortunately, it didn't fit in my space (pictured), but 7 meters is very impressive. If you have a corridor or other place where the mat can be rolled out in its entirety, it will be perfectly :)
- Dimension: 1m x 7m
